Ruslan Stefanchuk, the Chairman of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada, said earlier this evening that he had talked to his Georgian counterpart Shalva Papuashvili, adding they would discuss the details of the Georgian delegation’s visit to Ukraine the following day.

Stefanchuk expressed his hope that Papuashvili would soon restore to health and be able to accompany the Georgian delegation on their visit to Kyiv.

“I have invited all parliament leaders from the world, so that they would arrive and see what is happening in Ukraine with their own eyes. I have also invited the Georgian parliament speaker. We had a conversation and agreed to have an official call tomorrow. I would like to once again confirm my invitation, I am ready to discuss all details of his visit to Ukraine. I know he has health problems and wish him a quick recovery. Hopefully, then I will have an opportunity to meet him in Kyiv,” Stefanchuk said.

Stefanchuk thanked the Georgian delegation, which is willing to pay a visit to Ukraine by the end of the week. The delegation, led by Papuashvili, will include both the ruling party and opposition representatives.
