Russia has added 21 British citizens to its “stop list,” barring them from entering the country, in what the Foreign Ministry called a response to London’s “continued confrontational course” and efforts to “demonise” Moscow over the war in Ukraine.

Those targeted include representatives of British civil society, media, NGOs, consultancy groups and academic circles.

According to the statement, individuals placed on the list were responsible for “spreading disinformation and unfounded accusations against Russia,” as well as for advocating tougher Western policies toward Moscow and stronger support for Kyiv.

There has been no immediate response from London to the announcement.

Moscow has previously sanctioned hundreds of UK, US and EU nationals, including journalists and researchers covering Russia and the war in Ukraine.
