"On April 23, the troops (forces) of the Southern Military District and the Airborne Forces, involved in the surprise check, proceeded to return to their permanent deployment points," the military department said on Friday.
"At present, military units and formations are marching to railway loading stations and airfields, loading onto landing ships, railway platforms and military transport aircraft," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
According to the ministry, there has already been a loading of marine units, equipment and weapons of the Caspian Flotilla and the Black Sea Fleet into large landing ships.
