Oleksiy Danilov, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, on Thursday said Russia was planning a “massive attack” on his country on February 24, on the anniversary of the ongoing conflict.
“We are ready for it. We have received 115-120 missiles in one day. Yes, it will be difficult, but we must remain calm as much as possible. We should understand that we will overcome everything,” said Danilov.
The official claimed the situation would be “completely different” in the summer, both on the entire front and in individual sections.
“Now they [Russians] have the phrase – New Lands. First, these lands are not new but our old lands, and we are not going to give them up. Secondly, let’s see whose land will be after the war. I emphasize once again: Russia will collapse, otherwise, it will endanger not only our country, but the whole world. Everyone who has a mind understands this,” Danilov said.
Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24 of last year.
