Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Thursday claimed Kyiv had obtained information Moscow had plans to hit the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, like it “mined and then exploded the Nova Kakhovka dam” earlier this month.

He said “radiation has no borders”, and that  European, American, African states, as well as China, Brazil, India and the Arab countries had been warned of the possible “terrorist attack”.

“There should never be terrorist attacks on nuclear power plants anywhere. This time it should not be like in the case of Kakhovka. The international community has been warned, which means they can and should act,” said Zelenskyy.

He added the plant had been used as an element of aggression by Russia since its full-scale invasion of Ukraine last year.
