The announcement of partial mobilization by Russia will not change anything for the country, political analyst Zurab Batiashvili told Front News on Wednesday.

He stressed that Russia will have to admit its defeat in its war against Ukraine.

“Russia’s announcement of partial mobilization will not change anything for Moscow. Moreover, the move will kill more Russians. The West will supply more weapons to Ukraine. Unfortunately, many more people will be killed than before in hostlities,” said Batiashvili.

As for nuclear threats coming from Putin, the analyst said that it was part of Russian propaganda.

“This is Putin’s delusion and delusions in such a difficult period as Russia is now,  is not a good companion and it will end unfavorably both for him and for Russia,” said Batiashvili.

Putin on Wednesday announced a partial mobilization, which, according to the country’s defence minister, would lead to the recruitment of additional 300,000.

Putin also said that the West “is making nuclear threats” to which he would give a strong response.
