Russian-controlled occupation forces kill Georgian citizen in illegal detention attempt

The Russian-controlled occupation forces on Monday killed a Georgian citizen and illegally detained another near the village of Kirbali, central Gori municipality, adjacent to the occupied Tskhinmvali (South Ossetia) region, the Georgian State Security Service said. 

The body noted “active communication is underway using all tools available to the central Government of Georgia”. 

Russia currently occupies 20 percent of the Georgian territory and has been engaged in creeping occupation since 2013.
