Russian forces have launched a new wave of drone attacks on Ukraine, with the Ukrainian Air Force reporting that more than 100 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were used by the occupying forces. According to a statement from the Ukrainian Air Force Command on Friday, a total of 112 drones targeted the country overnight.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces reportedly intercepted 73 of these UAVs in the eastern, southern, northern, and central regions, while 36 drones were lost locally without causing further harm. The extent of the damage caused by the remaining drones is still being assessed.

In the southern Odessa and Belgorod-Dniester regions, three people were injured, one of whom is in critical condition, according to the Odessa Regional Military Administration. Several residential buildings were damaged, and fires that broke out in multiple locations have now been extinguished.

The Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported significant damage in the Bucha and Belotserkovsky districts, where houses, an administrative building, a shop, and the unused facilities of a cultural center and an educational institution were affected. In the capital’s Svyatoshinsky district, debris from a Russian drone caused damage to a residential house and a boiler room.

Further damage was reported in the Nikopol region of the Dnipropetrovsk area, where residential buildings, businesses, an educational institution, and a church were affected, according to the regional administration.

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense issued a statement claiming that Ukrainian drones attacked Russian targets, with 65 UAVs reportedly shot down from last night to 8:30 am. Of these, 43 were intercepted over the Black Sea, 21 over Crimea, and one over the Belgorod region. Russia has not provided details on the results of these alleged attacks.
