The representatives of Russian forces have unlawfully detained three Georgian citizens in the vicinity of the occupied villages, Zemo Artsevi and Otrevi, as reported by the State Security Service of Georgia on monday.

The State Security Service said it had promptly activated the “hotline” maintained by the EU Monitoring Mission. “Additionally, information regarding this unlawful detention has been swiftly communicated to the co-chairs of the international discussions in Geneva and to our international partners. All available channels for the release of the unlawfully detained Georgian citizens have been engaged”, said the agency.

The SSS stressed “the occupying power bears full responsibility for any destructive actions carried out within the occupied territories of Georgia and along the occupation line”.
