Russian troops who have recently left the site of the Chernobyl nuclear plant, where disaster took place back in 1986, have taken computers, electric kettles and coffee makers with them, Eugene Kramarenko, head of the Chernobyl Zone Management Agency has stated.

He said that 59 Ukrainian employees of the plant are at the scene and refrain from leaving the territory as surrounding areas could be mined by Russians before withdrawal.

Kramarenko says that he is holding consultations with Ukrainian authorities over sending a mission to the site.

On Wednesday the US said that Russians had plans to leave the site of the nuclear plant which they seized at the beginning of Russia-Ukraine war back in February.
