Russians to target Slavyansk, Bakhmut in Donetsk – Luhansk governor

The next target of the Russian forces will be the cities of Donetsk – Slavyansk and Bakhmut, – the governor of the Luhansk region, Serhiy Gaidai said on Tuesday. 

“The loss of the Luhansk region is painful because it is the territory of Ukraine. Moreover, the number one target for them is the Donetsk region. Slavyansk and Bakhmut will be under attack. The bombardment of Bakhmut has already started, “ said the governor.

The Russian Defense Minister told President Vladimir Putin on Monday that the “operation” in Luhansk was over. 

The Russian president noted that the military units “that took part in active hostilities and achieved success, victory” in Luhansk “should rest to boost their combat capabilities.”
