Ukraine secures release of 300 from Russian captivity in second stage of swap

The exchange follows the first phase of the deal on March 5-6, when 200 Ukrainian servicemembers were released as part of a planned 500-for-500 swap between Ukraine and Russia

Ukraine has secured the release of 300 servicememebers from Russian captivity during the second stage of a prisoner exchange agreed in Geneva, Ukrainian authorities said.
Those released include members of the Ground Forces, Air Assault Forces, Navy, Air Force, and Unmanned Systems Forces, as well as personnel from the National Guard, State Border Guard Service and State Special Transport Service.
The group includes soldiers, sergeants and officers aged between 26 and 60. Among them are defenders who fought on the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts, including participants in the defense of Mariupol. Two civilians were also returned.
