Former president Mikheil Saakashvili, who was arrested in Tbilisi on October 1, has once again offered a large-scale political amnesty ‘new leaders to come to power.’
He also says that a round-table with the involvement of various political forces on how the country should get to elections, is also required.
Saakashvili says that after the release thanks to the amnesty, he will be engaged with attracting investments and taking positive moves to upgrade the country’s education system.
Meanwhile, his United National Movement is holding a rally in front of the presidential administration in Tbilisi.
They are demanding a meeting with president Salome Zurabishvili to encourage her to start talks on reconciliation.
The ruling Georgian Dream party members say that Saakashvili and his party ‘regret nothing’ and that they have some other ‘destructive intentions.’
