Several individuals attacked representatives of the opposition For Georgia party while they were conducting election campaigning in Tbilisi. The party released both the information and video footage of the incident.

The video shows unknown individuals verbally confronting party members, cursing, and wishing for the party leader, Giorgi Gakharia, to be “sent to the political trash bin.” The attackers are also seen snatching and tearing down campaign posters from the party activists.

For Georgia claims that the attackers are affiliated with the ruling party Georgian Dream activist group. The individuals involved in the incident refused to disclose their names or provide further information during the confrontation, as seen in the video.

The party has condemned the attack, calling it an attempt to undermine their democratic campaigning efforts.
