The Georgian Foreign Ministry has expressed shock and condemnation over the tragic incident in New Orleans, United States, where at least 15 people lost their lives.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Ministry extended its solidarity to the victims, their families, and the American people, saying, “We strongly condemn all acts of violence and stand in solidarity with the victims, their families, and the people of the United States during this difficult time.”

The attack occurred early Wednesday morning on Bourbon Street during New Year’s Eve celebrations when a pickup truck was driven into a crowd. The incident also left dozens injured.
