Georgia hosts Interpol MILLENIUM Conference on transnational crime

Georgia is hosting the annual MILLENIUM conference of Interpol’s General Secretariat on 25-26 March, organized with support from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Interpol.
The event was opened by First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Roni Meskhi, who addressed around 60 delegates from 25 countries. He stressed the importance of international cooperation in combating transnational crime and highlighted the long-standing, exemplary partnership between Georgia and Interpol.
Delegates from both Interpol’s General Secretariat and member countries-including the United States, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Poland, Israel, Italy, Armenia, Kazakhstan, France, and the Netherlands-will participate in the two-day conference.
Discussions will focus on current challenges in tackling transnational organized crime and strategies to strengthen international collaboration. The MILLENIUM project aims to enhance global efforts against organized crime.
