Georgia defeats Bulgaria 3:0 in World Cup Qualifier

Georgia’s national football team on Sunday secured a convincing 3:0 victory over Bulgaria in the second round of the World Cup qualifiers.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring in the 30th minute, followed by Nika Gagnidze’s goal in the 43rd minute. Giorgi Mikautadze sealed the win with the third goal, marking his 21st international strike and moving closer to overtaking Shota Arveladze’s record of 26 goals as Georgia’s all-time top scorer.

The win gave Georgia its first three points in the qualifying campaign. After two rounds, the team is level on points with Spain and Turkey, keeping alive its hopes of reaching the World Cup finals.
