Direct scheduled flights between the capitals of Georgia and Romania are set to resume, with Romanian carrier Dan Air launching services between Tbilisi and Bucharest.

According to an application submitted by the airline to Georgia's Civil Aviation Agency, flights on the Bucharest-Tbilisi-Bucharest route will operate from 1 July until 24 October.

The service will run twice a week, with flights scheduled every Tuesday and Saturday.

Georgia's Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia, operating under the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, granted the airline the necessary operating permit on 9 June.
