Georgia and Israel sign memorandum to strengthen police cooperation

Minister Geladze emphasized the important role of police attachés in strengthening bilateral cooperation and thanked his Israeli counterpart for a productive meeting and hospitality

During an official visit to Israel, Georgian Interior Minister Geka Geladze and Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir signed a memorandum of cooperation between their respective ministries.
According to the press service, the agreement aims to expand police cooperation between Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Israel’s Ministry of National Security across multiple areas. This includes collaboration between migration departments and police academies of both countries, as well as the exchange of professional experience and best practices.
“During the bilateral meeting, the ministers discussed current issues in law enforcement cooperation. Special attention was given to ongoing and future initiatives aimed at sharing experience and best practices,” the statement read.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Minister Geladze emphasized the important role of police attachés in strengthening bilateral cooperation and thanked his Israeli counterpart for a productive meeting and hospitality.
