Georgia has launched the multinational military exercise Agile Spirit 2025, which will run until  August six, marking the twelfth time the country has hosted the large-scale training operation.

Jointly led by the Western Command of the Georgian Defense Forces and the Georgia National Guard of the United States, the exercise brings together troops from 13 countries, including the United States, Turkey, Poland, Germany, Italy, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Lithuania, and Ukraine. Armenia and Japan are participating as observers.

The goal of Agile Spirit 2025 is to enhance military readiness, interoperability, and operational effectiveness among partner nations, the Georgian Defence Ministry said on Friday.

The programme includes a command and staff exercise, a Georgian-American tactical convoy along the Senaki-Vaziani highway, combined live-fire drills, special operations training, and validation of Georgia’s Combat Training Center (CTC).

The exercise is being conducted across several strategic locations in Georgia, including:

Krtsanisi - at the NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Center, Vaziani - at the Combat Training Center and adjacent polygons and Norio, Mukhrovani, and Senaki, at the 2nd Infantry Brigade base
Armoured vehicles and aerial assets from the Georgian Defense Forces are involved, alongside US Army combat vehicles and UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters, as well as a Puma AS332 helicopter from Turkey’s Armed Forces.

Agile Spirit 2025 officially began on 21 July with a joint US-Turkish airborne operation near Adana Province in Turkey.
