US congressional staff delegation visits Georgia

A delegation of US congressional staff is visiting Georgia, the US Embassy announced on Wednesday.

As part of a regional visit, members of the delegation will meet with Georgian government officials and opposition leaders, the diplomatic mission said.

The embassy added that the delegation will also visit a settlement for internally displaced persons in Tserovani, central Georgia, to learn more about the situation in the country.

“We are pleased to host a delegation of congressional staff in Georgia! During the regional visit, the delegation members will meet with Georgian officials and opposition leaders. They will also visit the Tserovani IDP settlement to gain insight into the situation in Georgia,” the statement said.
