The European Parliament is preparing a new resolution, believing that the EU’s current actions are insufficient, according to Salome Samadashvili, a member of the Strong Georgia coalition.
Samadashvili criticized the Georgian government, stating that Russia, through its puppet regime, has pushed the country into a dire reality. She accused billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili of following Russia’s orders and undermining generations of work dedicated to Georgia’s European integration.
“The fact that discussions are now taking place about expelling this government from the Council of Europe shows that we are not moving forward. Generations of efforts are being discarded at Ivanishvili’s command. This is the harsh reality that Russia, with the help of its puppet regime, has brought upon our country,” Samadashvili said.
She added that the European Parliament is actively working on a new resolution, as many believe that the EU’s current response has not been strong enough.
“I am traveling from Strasbourg to Brussels to get a clearer understanding of the next possible steps. The European Parliament is preparing a new resolution, as they believe what has been done so far is not enough,” Samadashvili stated.
