President Salome Zourabichvili has strongly condemned the escalating violence in Tbilisi, accusing the government of employing terror tactics reminiscent of Russian authoritarianism.
In a post on X, Zourabichvili stated: The Russian regime is back at work tonight in Tbilisi—chasing civilians through the streets as they flee terror, targeting politicians, media, artists… Breaking down the doors of opposition offices to raid and brutalize politicians inside.”
The statement follows a night of chaos in Tbilisi, marked by violent crackdowns on protesters, journalists, and opposition figures. Multiple incidents of brutality have been reported, including attacks on media representatives, the storming of political offices, and assaults on prominent public figures.
