Zourabichvili says ruling party is steering Georgia away from EU path

On the anniversary of Georgia being granted EU Candidate status, President Salome Zourabichvili took to X to condemn the actions of the ruling party.

“14/12/2023, Georgia was granted the Status of Candidate to the EU. In one year, the one-party rulers have taken all possible steps against the EU path to finally abort it. Law after law, Georgia is being turned into Russia. But Georgians will not surrender!” she wrote.
