Georgian President to protesters: “Georgia never surrenders”

In a passionate address at a rally on Rustaveli Avenue, Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili emphasized that Georgia would never give in when it is in the right, reaffirming the country’s resilience in the face of adversity.

Zourabichvili told the crowd, despite the challenges they faced, including arrests and obstacles to free speech, “We are not afraid, because here only love prevails. Those who say there is a conflict here are spreading another lie among many others. Here, there is only peace, love, and freedom.”

She paid tribute to the heroes of Georgia and pointed to the sacrifices made for the country’s independence. “Georgia never surrenders, never gives up when it is right and today, Georgia is right, and so are you,” she stated.
