According to the Interior Ministry, law enforcement officers arrested a 1997-born individual identified as G.G

Officers of the Central Criminal Police Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, together with employees of the Customs Department of the Revenue Service of Georgia, have prevented the illegal purchase, possession, and import of an especially large quantity of psychotropic substances into Georgia.

According to the Interior Ministry, law enforcement officers arrested a 1997-born individual identified as G.G.

During an inspection of the suspect’s hand luggage at Tbilisi International Airport, police seized as evidence up to 9 liters of liquid containing the psychotropic substance ketamine. The substance was distributed across 10 plastic bottles.

An investigation is underway under Articles 261 and 263 of Georgia’s Criminal Code, which carry a penalty of up to 12 years in prison.
