Police also said narcotic substances were recovered from one of those detained

Officers from the Patrol Police Department, as well as the Tbilisi, Adjara and Imereti Police Departments of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, have arrested five people on charges linked to the illegal purchase, possession and carrying of firearms and ammunition.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, searches conducted at the suspects’ homes and on their persons led to the seizure of several firearms of different models, ammunition and magazines as evidence.

Police also said narcotic substances were recovered from one of those detained.
