Man arrested in western Georgia on large-scale drug possession charges

The crime carries a potential sentence of up to 20 years’ imprisonment or life imprisonment if convicted

Police in western Georgia have arrested a man on suspicion of illegally purchasing and possessing a particularly large quantity of drugs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) said.
Officers from the Samegrelo–Zemo Svaneti Police Department’s Khobi District Division detained the suspect, identified by his initials Z.F., who was born in 1977.
According to the MIA, investigative actions led to the seizure of a substantial quantity of the narcotic substance Suboxone, which was taken as evidence. The suspect has been formally charged.
The crime carries a potential sentence of up to 20 years’ imprisonment or life imprisonment if convicted.
