Georgia extends access to medical services for Ukrainian citizens until April 2026

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has signed a Government decree extending access to medical services for Ukrainian citizens who entered Georgia due to the ongoing war and have remained in the country continuously until April 1, 2026.
Under the decision, “continuous residence” will also include cases in which an individual temporarily crossed Georgia’s state border and returned within a period of no more than three days.
Within the relevant annual state healthcare programmes, Ukrainian citizens will be entitled to a range of medical services, including:
Immunisation
Treatment of tuberculosis and HIV infection/AIDS, including access to specific medications
Maternal and child healthcare, including antenatal care and newborn screening
Mental health services
Diabetes management, including medication coverage
Dialysis
Treatment of patients with rare diseases and those requiring permanent replacement therapy
Referral services for urgent medical needs, including childbirth and emergency immunisation.
