France will provide Ukraine with military aid worth €195 million, funded by interest earned on frozen Russian assets, unian.ua reports.

French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu revealed this in an interview with La Tribune Dimanche. According to him, the aid package includes 155mm artillery shells and AASM air-to-ground bombs for Mirage 2000 fighter jets.

Additionally, France will accelerate the delivery of AMX-10RC light tanks and VAB armored personnel carriers, which were previously used by the French military.

To support both Ukraine and its own army, France plans to increase military production. Lecornu stated that Dassault Aviation will ramp up the production of Rafale fighter jets from two per month in 2024 to four or five per month by 2026.

By 2026, the production of AASM bombs is also expected to double, while the output of MBDA (Akeron MP) anti-tank missiles will double by 2025.
