The Georgian government has confirmed that the country has not been invited to the 2025 Davos Economic Forum or the Munich Security Conference amic concerns over its decision last year to halt EU accession talks until 2028 and claims of rigged elections, as well as violent dispersal of ongoing protests in the country.

The government administration stated that Georgia did not receive invitations to either event. Moreover, they noted, “Even if an invitation is received, attendance will not be possible.”

The Davos Economic Forum is set to take place from January 20 to 24, while the Munich Security Conference is scheduled for February 14 to 16.
