The US Embassy in Tbilisi announced on Friday that Senator Jeanne Shaheen and Congressman Mike Turner are set to commence their visit to Georgia today. The bipartisan delegation will engage with a range of stakeholders, including representatives from the Georgian government, civil society, private sector, and political parties.

During their visit, Shaheen and Turner will also tour US government programs that support internally displaced persons, entrepreneurs, and students. The visit underscores the United States’ ongoing commitment to Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations and its broader support for the Georgian people, said the mission.

“We are excited to welcome Senator Shaheen and Congressman Turner,” the embassy statement read. “Their visit highlights the strong partnership between our nations and our dedication to supporting Georgia’s democratic and economic development.”
