Section of residential building demolishes in Batumi

A section of a residential building in Georgia’s coastal city of Batumi, western  Georgia, was demolished earlier today. 

The incident took place in a five-storey building on 26 May street. 

A minor has been taken out of the demolished part of the building by rescuers shortly before and taken to hospital. 

Information on victims has not been released so far. 

Witnesses say that an explosion preceded the demolition. 

Police are also at the scene.
