Servicemmebers’ salaries same as 10 years ago – opposition MP

The United National Movement opposition party MP, General Devi Chankotadze, said on Monday that the salaries of the county’s servicemembers have not changed since 2012, since the current Georgian Dream authorities took office. 

 

The MP said that low salaries were a “key reason” why the servicemembers were “leaving the country”, calling for the summoning of Defence Minister Juansher Burchuladze to discuss the issue. 

 

The MP suggested that the state agencies had information on the “massive flow” of the servicemenbers.
