NASA's Perseverance rover has successfully landed on Mars. The device will study the surface of the "red planet".

The landing of the Perseverance rover was broadcast on YouTube.

The landing of the Perseverance rover lasted 7 minutes. This time is called "horror minutes" in NASA. In seven minutes, the rover entered the atmosphere of Mars, slowed down the fall, released a parachute, chose a landing site and landed on the surface of the planet.

During landing, the Perseverance rover took pictures of Mars, which it will send to the NASA center. The US space agency is to publish the images on the official website.

The device will study the geology of Mars and the history of its evolution, as well as look for traces of possible ancient life. Also, the device is instructed to take soil samples for delivery to Earth in the future.
