Chairman of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, has called out Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the German Bundestag Michael Roth and French MEP Nathalie Loiseau, arguing that their governments should refrain from commenting on election interference in other countries.

“It’s ironic that the German and French governments complain about Elon Musk’s statements and accuse him of election interference, yet their own actions tell a different story,” Papuashvili stated.

He went on to accuse Roth and Loiseau of hypocrisy, asserting that their governments’ involvement in Georgian elections constitutes “blatant and unlawful interference.”

“I hope more people realize that by interfering so aggressively in Georgian elections, they are undermining the very principles of democracy and sovereignty that they rely on,” Papuashvili wrote.
