Georgian Parliament Speaker travels to Geneva for IPU conference

Papuashvili is scheduled to deliver an address during the conference’s general debate and hold high-level bilateral meetings with other parliamentary leaders from around the world

Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili has departed for Geneva to participate in the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Conference of Speakers of Parliament, the Parliament press office announced on Tuesday.
During the visit, Papuashvili is scheduled to deliver an address during the conference’s general debate and hold high-level bilateral meetings with other parliamentary leaders from around the world.
The Speaker will be joined by the Chair of the Georgian Parliament’s Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze, who is also a member of the Georgian parliamentary delegation attending the event.
The IPU brings together representatives from national parliaments to promote dialogue, cooperation, and democratic governance on a global scale.
