On November 23-24, Georgian parliamentary delegates participated in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of Black Sea Economic Cooperation in Bulgaria, where Georgia assumed the chairmanship of the assembly for the next six months, Parliamentary Speaker Shalva Papuashvili announced during a plenary session on Tuesday.
During the assembly, the Georgian delegation outlined its priorities for the chairmanship.
“We presented our priorities for the assembly, which include enhancing connectivity, promoting economic cooperation, and strengthening parliamentary diplomacy,” Papuashvili said.
He also noted that the next session of the assembly will be held in Georgia next summer.
“We aim to use Georgia’s chairmanship to advance the Black Sea region as a central corridor, a bridge connecting Europe and Asia, within its parliamentary dimension. I congratulate everyone as Georgia becomes the chairing country for the next six months,” he added.
