According to the ministry’s statement on Friday, the detainee, identified as A.S., born in 1987, was arrested as part of the ongoing investigation into the unrest

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has detained another individual in connection with the incidents that occurred in Tbilisi on 4 October, during a protest along with the country’s municipal vote. 

According to the ministry’s statement on Friday, the detainee, identified as A.S., born in 1987, was arrested as part of the ongoing investigation into the unrest.

As of now, a total of 45 individuals have been detained in relation to the events.

The investigation is being conducted under Articles 317, 222, 225, and 187 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which concern violence against public order, participation in mass disorder, and damage to property, among other offences.
