Georgia hosts annual EMPACT meeting on property-related crime prevention

The Ministry of Internal Affairs hosted the annual meeting of the European Multidisciplinary Platform Against Criminal Threats (EMPACT), focused on combating property-related criminal offenses.
According to the Ministry’s press service, the event was opened by Irakli Dondoladze, Deputy Director of the Central Criminal Police Department. Participants were also addressed by the operational activity leader José Ángel González Morán, representing Spain. Delegates from around ten European countries attended the meeting alongside relevant units of the Georgian Interior Ministry.
During the session, participating countries shared their experiences in addressing emerging criminal trends, including efforts to counter property offenses. The discussions also covered existing challenges at both national and international levels, as well as potential mechanisms for improving prevention and response.

At the conclusion of the event, the parties reviewed progress made in crime prevention efforts and reaffirmed their readiness to maintain active cooperation in this field.
