The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia on Saturday urged organisers and participants of public gatherings to hold their assemblies in accordance with Georgian law and to comply with lawful police orders.

“In order to ensure public safety and maintain order, the relevant police units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are deployed across Tbilisi in connection with the planned gatherings on October 4.

We call on protest organisers and participants to conduct their assemblies within the framework established by Georgian legislation, comply with lawful police requests, and not obstruct official duties.
