Personnel from Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs Strategic Pipeline Protection Department have taken part in the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey trilateral command-and-staff exercise Eternity 2025, held in Kars, Turkey, according to an official statement on Thursday.
Members of the department’s rapid response division were engaged in both computer-based and field training components of the exercise.
The Ministry said the drill focused on peace support operations during crisis situations, including the protection of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline - a key regional energy route - and strengthening interoperability between the Azerbaijani, Turkish and Georgian units and relevant state agencies.
Officials said the exercise was conducted successfully and received positive assessments from all participating sides.
The Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey command-and-staff drill is held annually on a rotating basis in the three partner countries.
