Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has said Kyiv is seeking to “turn a new page” in relations with Georgia and was ready to deepen constructive dialogue with the Georgian authorities.

Speaking about bilateral ties on Monday, Sybiha referred to a recent meeting between the leaders of Georgia and Ukraine in Yerevan, describing it as historic and saying the two sides had exchanged views on key issues.

“We want to turn a new page with our Georgian partners,” he said. “We are ready to continue such constructive dialogues.”

The Ukrainian foreign minister also announced plans to meet Georgia’s foreign minister in Moldova in the near future, as part of efforts to improve diplomatic relations between the two countries.

“We want to properly restore the diplomatic course of our bilateral relations,” Sybiha said. “Our people deserve this. We are ready to move forward.”
