Stage service staff of Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theater on strike

The stage service employees of Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theater have gone on strike, demanding an increase in salaries. 

One of the employees on strike told Front News that their monthly salary is about $180, which had not been increased despite pledges by the administration. 

“We set up the scenes, decorations, and clean them after the performance. Despite making pledges several times, our wages remain the same over the years”, the employee said.
