Statistics office announces increase in monthly earnings of Georgians

The Georgian National Statistics Office says that in the second quarter of 2021 the average monthly nominal earnings in Georgia increased by 15.5 percent (177.9 Gel) compared to the same quarter of the previous year and amounted to 1,328 Gel.

 

The agency stated that the highest monthly earnings were observed in the following fields: 

 

• Financial and insurance activities – 2,354 Gel (increased by 15.4 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year).

• Information and communication – 2,173 Gel (increased by 12.4 percent).

• Construction – 2,006 Gel (increased – by 23.7 percent). 

• Professional, scientific and technical activities – 1,919 Gel (increased by 7.4 percent).

 

According to Geostat average earnings equal 1,077 Gel for women, while 1, 560 Gel for men.
