Stoltenberg discusses Russia’s military build-up with Zelensky

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has discussed Russia’s military build-up at the Ukrainian border with the country’s  President Volodymyr Zelensky during a recent phone call. 

“Spoke with President Zelensky on Russia’s military build-up in and around Ukraine. NATO will continue the political and practical support for our highly valued partner. We call on Russia to de-escalate and pursue the path of dialogue to find a peaceful solution,” Stoltenberg posted on Twitter.

Earlier this week the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken also had a telephone conversation with Stoltenberg and French FM Jean-Yves Le Drian to discuss  joint efforts and responses to Russian actions. 

Meanwhile, the US President Joe Biden has callen on American citizens to leave Ukraine as Russia may attack the country anytime.
