The students of the international relations bachelor’s programme in the European University will have the opportunity to undergo a paid internship abroad as part of the Erasmus+ International Credits Mobility Programme, starting from this academic year.

Nino Dvalidze and Beka Geldiashvili – the second and the fourth-semester-students of the international relations programme in the university – have been selected as the first holders of the scholarship.

The students will undergo a two-month internship in Lyon, France, at the International Relations Service of the IGC Group, with travel expenses reimbursed by the European Commission.

Both will also receive a monthly scholarship according to the Erasmus+ standards during their stay.

It should be noted the internship is a component in the curriculum of the European University international relations programme, and accordingly, the hours spent in France will be translated into credits.

Such an approach ensures the continuity of the learning process and makes the internship abroad an important mechanism of internationalization of the learning and teaching process.
