Georgian interior minister visits Azerbaijani internal troops unit during official trip

Georgian Interior Minister Sulkhan Tamazashvili has visited a military unit of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry’s Internal Troops during his official visit to Azerbaijan.
The Georgian delegation was hosted by Azerbaijani Interior Minister Vilayat Eyvazov and the commander of the Internal Troops, Shahin Mammadov.
According to the Georgian Interior Ministry’s press service, members of the Georgian delegation inspected military equipment and infrastructure and were briefed on the unit’s operational capabilities and main areas of activity.
As part of the visit, Tamazashvili and Eyvazov also held bilateral talks focused on existing cooperation between the two countries in the law enforcement sphere and prospects for future partnership.
The meeting highlighted what both sides described as successful cooperation between the two ministries and the importance of expanding ties further.
