Adjara Gov’t Head, Turkish Acting Consul General discuss deepening cooperation

Head of the Adjara Government Sulkhаn Tamazashvili on Saturday met with the Acting Consul General of Turkey in Georgia’s Black Sea resort city of Batumi, Banu Terzioğlu, to discuss deepening cooperation between the sides.

According to the regional government’s press service, the meeting focused on strengthening existing close partnership ties and identifying concrete areas for expanding cooperation between Turkey and the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.

Particular attention was paid to collaboration in economy, tourism, culture and education — sectors seen as key drivers of bilateral engagement in the region.

The sides reaffirmed their readiness to further enhance cooperation in the future.
