Before the festive service began, Tamazashvili met with the Metropolitan of Batumi and Lazeti, Bishop Dimitri

The Chairman of the Adjara Government, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, attended a Christmas liturgy with his family at the Church of the Iveria Mother of God in the village of Gvara, Kobuleti municipality in western Georgia. 

Before the festive service began, Tamazashvili met with the Metropolitan of Batumi and Lazeti, Bishop Dimitri. During the meeting, he congratulated Orthodox Christians, as well as the Metropolitan and the clergy, on the feast of the Nativity of Christ.

The Christmas liturgy was also attended by representatives of the Adjara government and local self-government, as well as members of the Georgian Parliament.
